Akuka wins GFSports X-country

Akuka (left) receiving his prizeFormer Milo marathon winner, William Akuka has emerged winner of the fourth edition of the GFSports Cross-Country athletics event held at the University of Ghana, Legon.

The 12-kilometer event saw the impressive long distance runner, finishing in 34:20secs to walk away with the ultimate prize of GH¢300.

He was followed by Kassim Mohammed for the second position in a time of 34:45secs and received GH¢200 while Kofi Darko settled for the third position in 34:52secs to win GH¢100.

In the Women’s category, Judith Benyeyel won in 41:20secs and followed by Millicent Ayiadona and Rosina Titi.

According to the founder of GFSports, Nana Tuful Asamoah Bassaw, the next event would be held on October 22 and called for sponsorship from corporate Ghana.
