Muslims have reiterated their confidence in the administration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to turn the development fortunes of the country around.

They have equally pledged to lend him the support required to deliver on his mandate as president to ensure that there is equitable distribution of the country’s resources to ensure that no area lags behind in terms of development.

Alhaji Musah Yusif Asante alias Chairman Musah who is the Second National Chairman of the Islamic Mission Secretariat of Ghana and also the Techiman Municipal Patron, observed that gone are the days when Northerners or Zongo folks thought the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was an anti–Islamic party.

He made the observation when Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah, the Deputy Minister of Regional Reorganisation and Development donated 100 bags of cement to support the Islamic Hospital project at Krobo near Techiman.

According to Alhaji Asante, looking at the policies and programmes being rolled out by the President and his government in favour of Muslims, they have drifted from that erroneous mentality.
