Akonnor unhappy with new Kotoko role

Charles Kwabla Akonnor is set to reject his new role as Technical Director of Asante Kotoko, according to reports in Kumasi.

The former head coach of the club was elevated to the Technical Director position of the Reds after Norwegian tactician Kjetil Zachariassen was named the new gaffer.

Akonnor is reported to be unhappy with the manner in which his promotion, the arrival of some players and the appointment of the new coach happened.

Despite an improved salary in his new role, the former Ghana captain is yet to confirm whether he likes his new position or not.
