Airtel Touching Lives wins award

Airtel Touching Lives, a television programme that recognises and celebrate unsung heroes and acknowledges the difference they have made to the lives of others in the society, has been awarded for the third year running as the Best Community Relations Programme of the Year at the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Excellence Awards.

The programme which offers a platform to enhance people’s quality of life identifies extraordinary men and women from all walks of life and people with dire needs and enables them to change their lives with Airtel’s support.

The Legal and Corporate Affairs Director of Airtel Ghana, Hannah Agbozo, commenting on the awards stated that Airtel was committed to empowering people and creating positive impact in communities.

She said the company wanted to create a better world for people and others by recognising and rewarding people who have worked selflessly to make an impact in their communities.

“We will continue to give a positive touch to the lives of yet another set of Ghanaians and offer them a lifetime opportunity to change their lives and that of others for the better and contribute to the wellbeing of the citizenry,” she reiterated.

The Airtel Touching Lives since its commencement in 2010, have led to some Ghanaians being recognised internationally with awards for their efforts to improve living standards in some of the world’s most disadvantaged communities

Airtel Touching Lives over the last few years won several awards for ensuring a sustainable livelihood and long term change in the status of the lives of people.
