Agent Slams Exclusion Of Boakye-Yiadom

THE agent of Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has described the Atalanta striker’s exclusion from Ghana’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as ”strange, confusing and unjustifiable.”

Oliver Arthur believes his client, who has scored two Serie A goals in 10 appearances this season has also made five starts for Atalanta, a club he joined on loan from Juventus.

Ghana caretaker coach Maxwell Konadu decided to call-up Emmanuel Osei Banahene to replace injured Asamoah Gyan.

The local media is questioning the prolificacy of the Saudi-based player- who has scored one goal in nine league appearances.

Arthur, a FIFA agent, is fuming how a performer in the Italian Serie A could be overlooked.

”Yes, he [Boakye-Yiadom] is a young player but the reality is that he plays in Serie A week-in-week-out and consistently ranks as one of the performers in a game for Atalanta,” he said.
