Ghanaian Premier League champions, Aduana Stars will lock horns with Moroccan giants, Raja Casablanca today in the final group game of their CAF Confederations Cup campaign.
The tie, scheduled for the Complex Mohammed V in Casablanca will see Aduana Stars playing for pride after being booted out of the competition.

Despite managing a solitary win so far in the campaign, Aduana started on a promising note despite losing in their first two games which they dominated and should have earned some valuable points.

A 2-0 loss at home in their penultimate clash with Ivorian side Asec Mimosas effectively shut the door on the ‘Ogya’ boys who are currently rooted in bottom of Group A with four points after five rounds of games.
Aduana’s opponents Raja who are second on the log with eight points will be fired up for the clash knowing that a victory will guarantee their progress to the next stage of the competition.

The former champions were a handful for the Green and Yellow boys in the first leg clash at Dormaa, nearly walking away with a victory but for a late equaliser from striker Nathaniel Asamoah which ended the tie 3-3.

But things are going from bad to worse for the Ghanaian champions Aduana which had to emplane to Morocco with a small squad size of 14 players as a result of injuries.

Additionally, the threat of resignation by Kenichi prior to the team’s departure seems to have affected the mood in camp.

However, Kenichi insists that despite the issues with the team, every member of the technical team and player are very confident of pulling a surprise result against the Moroccan favourites.
The other group game will witness Asec Mimosas of Cote d’Ivoire hosting group leaders AS Vita Club from DR Congo at the Stade Felix Houphouet Boigny stadium in Abidjan.

Asec must beat Vita Club and hope Raja loses their home game to Aduana to qualify ahead of the Moroccans.

AS Vita Club have already booked qualification to the next stage and are therefore expected to field a weak side against the Ivorians.
