Adamu In A Come-Back Win

Mchngnhicago  based middle weight championship aspirant, Osumanu Adama once again emphasized his case for a crack at any of the top titles after out- pointing American Doel Carrasquillo courtesy a round seven stoppage in a scheduled eight rounder last Friday night at
Cicero Stadium, Cicero, Illinois, USA.

Adama, now 22-3, 16 knockouts, was fighting for only the second time since his unsuccessful bid in his first world title opportunity against IBF Middleweight champ, Daniel Geale, losing a close 12 round decision in Tasmania, Australia, on March
7, 2012.

His last fight was on March 16 after he failed a world title attempt a year earlier but after returning to the ring again within four months. But according to Adama he is back again and will work hard to get a shot at the world title.

“Thanks be to Allah for the victory. I’m trying to fight three more fights and I could be back up the rankings again. It’s hard work all the way,” Adama said.

Baffour Gyan, Manager and Agent of WBA International Junior Lightweight champion, Emmanuel Tagoe AKA Game Boy has promised to
stage a world title fight in Ghana for the boxer should he overcome American Gerardo Robles this coming Friday August 9 at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, Cabazon, California, USA.

Gyan, elder brother of national football team captain, Asamoah Gyan and a former Ghana international himself, is personally in camp with Tagoe as the boxer prepares to face Robles in his first fight in the United States with the IBF Intercontinental Junior Lightweight belt at stake.

Baffour is not only supervising the assiduous training sessions Tagoe is undergoing at the Ten Goose Boxing Gym in Los Angeles, but the
President of the Ghana based BabyJet Promotions and management is also busy holding talks with the IBF for Tagoe to get a crack at the world title itself before the end of the year against incumbent champion, Argenis Mendez who defends the IBF
Junior Lightweight belt against Arash Usmanee on August 23 at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino,
Verona, New York.

“We are in talks with the IBF for the winner to fight Game Boy when he gets this Intercontinental title on Friday. We are confident we can get the IBF champion to defend the title against him in Ghana on December 26,” Gyan told www.sportsinghana.com
from their US camp.

He added: “The training here is not easy, I’m very impressed with the facilities. It’s all good because it can only make Game Boy better. I’m appealing to all Ghanaians to pray for Tagoe to win this title on Friday because we are determined to win the world
title for the country.”
