The Assemblies of God Tema Christian Centre, has donated assorted medical supplies worth GH¢20,000 to the Ada East District Hospital.
The items included theatre equipment, blood pressure apparatus, catheter, feeding syringes, surgical gowns, examination gloves, blood transfer devices and bandages.
The Senior Pastor of the Centre, Rev. Gabby Dzisa, presenting the items, said the gesture was to support the hospital’s efforts at providing its clients quality service.
He said the items were acquired with the support of the centre’s USA partners.
Rev. Dzisa said the church had in the last five years made similar donations to the Tema General, University of Ghana, Ho Government and Sogakope Government hospitals as well as the Ashaiman Polyclinic.
Receiving the items, Ms. Diana Apenteng, a nursing officer at the Ada East Hospital, thanked Rev. Dzisa for the gesture, which she said, had come at a time the hospital had resorted to buying medicines from the open market due to the recent fire that gutted the Tema Central Medical Stores.
