Accra Aca Homecoming Slated For Sat.

This year’s Accra Academy Homecoming, dubbed Homecoming 2014, has been slated for the school on Saturday.

The event will be taken to another level due to the participation of the St Mary Girls Senior High School counterparts popularly known as ACASMA.

Participants will take part in several sporting activities and an entertainment package put together to revive the ACASMA union.

Events slated for the day include football, Jama or Oje competition, volleyball and kenkey eating competition and ludo and ampe for the ladies.

According to the organisers, the female counterpart of St Mary’s Old Girls Association has officially sent in a proposal to fully partner Accra Academy to celebrate Homecoming 2014 as well as participate in all activities lined up for the programme.

The event is expected to be graced by the two dominant past academicians in the oil industry, Mr Alex Mould (Bleoo 78), CEO of the Ghana National Petroleum Company as well as Mr Charles Darko (Bleoo 74), General Manager, Tullow Oil Ghana Limited.

The two will join the Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Doe Adjaho to light the event flame.

Nii Maale-Adsei, a member of the organising team told the Times Sports the event is the biggest platform of the Old Boys Association including those in the Diaspora to come together to regroup and reminiscence, network, have fun and plan ways and means to assist the alma mater.
