group pixThe 1985 year group of the Accra Academy Senior High School has officially handed over a rehabilitated multi-purpose interact square to the school at a brief ceremony at the school.

The facility was jointly funded by the Speaker of Parliament Mr Doe Adjaho , Nana Akuako and the 1985 year group at the sum of GH¢38,000.

President of the year group, Dr Kamar –Ur deen Lat said the handing over of the facility was a prelude to an unveiling of a plaque by the 1985 year group later this year as part of its homecoming.

The gesture is part of the groups’ contribution to its alma mater in contributing to addressing the infrastructure gap facing the school currently.

The idea to build the facility was conceived three years ago by the group following the inability of the school assembly hall to hold the student population.

Dr Kamar –Ur deen  Lat commended the Speaker of Parliament Mr Doe Adjaho  and Nana Akuako Sarpong who contributed immensely to the project even though they don’t belong to the group.

The Speaker of Parliament who is also an old student of Accra Academy Senior High School called on past students of the school to make it a point to contribute to the development of their alma mater.

He further promised the school an amount of ten thousand cedis to help build an ultra-modern fence wall around the  school. –  Amos Aryeetey
