Access Bank Holds Second Mini Draw In Kumasi

Access-Bank-600x375Access Bank has held its second mini-draw in the “Easy Access Promo” to reward thirty customers and patrons of the promo.

The mini-draw held in Kumasi was preceded by a savings walk across the principal streets to reach the under-banked and unbanked. Hundreds of staff and management personnel participated in the savings walk through some principal streets of Kumasi.

Speaking at the event Mr. Stephen Abban, Group Head for Retail Banking at Access Bank said, “The Easy Access promo was part of a broader strategy by Access Bank to promote financial inclusion by tapping into new segments of the retail market, as the already 30 per cent or so banked population was already overstretched by competition.”

He said “in addition to the exciting prizes the bank was offering, all the promo entrants will also have the opportunity to receive a free “Accesslink” card, which will allow them to withdraw money locally from any ATM in Ghana with the GH-link logo”.

He was delighted that the thirty winners which would be announced during the second mini-draw would provide enough reason for those with a “wait and see” attitude to believe in the promo and join in to qualify for the grand draw in November.

The Chief Executive of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Mr. Kojo Bonsu, who was represented by Mr. Gordon Sorbobr, Assistant Director, noted that Access Bank had kept true to its promise to the people of Kumasi when it launched its services in 2010.

He said that the bank’s recent awards were testimony of its commitment as a reliable partner for socio-economic development in the Ashanti Region and beyond.

On his part Mr. Pius Akelisiyine, Regional Head of the National Lotteries Authority (NLA), noted that the process of selecting winners for the second mini-draw was conducted in a fair and transparent manner. He said the NLA had supervised the promo from its inception, and could assure customers and the general public of its integrity.

The “Easy Access Promo” draw in Kumasi comes barely four weeks after winners in the first mini-draw held in Tamale received their prizes, including LED televisions, generator sets, smart phones, DVD players and branded souvenirs.

To enter the promotion, customers are expected to deposit GH¢200 into their new or existing Access Bank savings or current accounts. Customers can also increase chances in the draw by depositing more of GH¢200.
