Abossey Okai Female Spare Parts Dealers Association Elect Executives

A 14-member Interim Executive of  Abossey Okai Female Spare Parts Dealers  Association was inaugurated recently to steer  the affairs of the association for the next two years.

The members promised to do all within their power to work hard to justify the confidence reposed in them.

The Member of Parliament(MP) of Ablekuma Central, Mr Ebenezer Nii Noi Nortey  who was the Guest of Honour, said plans were advanced to construct a car park in the area to facilitate their trade.

He called on members to put aside political party affiliations and forge ahead in unity for the development and growth of their businesses.

Mr Nortey asked the traders to implement good hygiene practices in order to ward off the spread of communicable diseases.

Mrs Margaret Ansong, the lnterim President of the Association, appealed for the construction of public places of convenience in the area to assuage the suffering of traders.

She called on financial service providers to  treat their members with respect whenever they approached them to seek financial assistance.

Personnel of G C B Bank Limited and Equity Focus, a Microfinance  Company, were at the function to educate members on the existing credit facilities available in their respective  organisations, and how long they could save to benefit from loans.

Others included how to implement best savings  culture, the need to sign up to  good investment policies to ensure maximum returns on their investments, how loan recoveries were made, and how they should manage their businesses.

The traders  were  advised to critically  consider the  interest  rates of the investments they made, since the higher the interests on investments, the greater the risks involved.

The banks asked the traders to channel their grievances through the appropriate channels for redress.
