Ablekuma West Assembly supports Muslims towards Eid Ul Adha

The Ablekuma West Municipal Assembly last weekend presented two bulls to Nasarawa and Tunga Muslim communities towards this year’s Eid Ul Adha celebrations, at Dansoman, in Accra.

Mr George Cyril Bray, the Municipal Chief Executive Officer of Ablekuma West, making the presentation, commended the Muslims for promoting religious tolerance over the years.

He asked them to eschew negative practices and contribute to national development.

Mr Blay assured that government would continue with efforts at bringing development to the Zongo communities through the Ministry of Zongo and Inner Cities Development.

He said: “We must all unite as one people in ensuring that there is development and peace in areas that we live”.

Mr Blay said the assembly would rehabilitate schools in the area, to ensure that the children have access to education.

He asked Muslims to use the occasion to pray for peace and stability in the country.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the communities, the youth leader of the area Tunga, Alhaji Gariba Abdulai Baba, commended the assembly for the kind gesture.

He pledged the support of the communities to the assembly towards development.
