Retailers of Accra Brewery Limited (ABL) have celebrated this year’s International Beer Day with an exciting experience dubbed “Grain to Glass” at the brewery.
The 35 selected retailers from the Accra East and West zones were taken through the brewery’s beer manufacturing process from start to finish.
The event which was hosted by the Technical, Sales and Corporate Affairs teams, was in line with one of ABL’s values of being “customer and consumer focused” as a way of placing its stakeholders and partners, at the heart of its operations.
International Beer Day is celebrated annually on the first Friday in August since 2007 for the purpose of gathering with friends and enjoying the taste of beer; celebrate those responsible for brewing and serving beer; and to unite the world under the banner of beer.
Vincent Oliver, Technical Director of ABL who took the team through the process congratulated the retailers for availing themselves to the fun-filled but educative engagement.
He said: “At the heart of our operations are our stakeholders and the retailers. We therefore deem it necessary, as we celebrate International Beer Day, to open our doors for our cherished retail partners to interact with us and understand how the beer they sell and enjoy is made.”
Madam Comfort Ashog owner of Conash Bar, at Awudome who spoke on behalf of the retailers commended the company for appreciating the contribution of retailers to the success of the company.
She indicated, “The occasion was an eye opener and a very refreshing experience which every customer and consumer should have the opportunity to be part of”.
