Cruiserweight boxer Braimah Kamoko, aka Bukom Banku, is nowhere to be found to be served a writ of summons to appear in court to answer charges of assault brought against him by the police.
Police prosecutors handling Banku’s case told the Accra Central District Court yesterday that the boxer could not be located and pleaded for some time to manhunt him.
Bukom Banku was expected in court yesterday, to answer charges of assault levelled against him by Martha Nelson, a hairdresser at Chorkor, Accra.
He has been charged with various counts of assault and causing unlawful harm.
According to a charge sheet from the court, the 38-year-old who is also a musician, unlawfully assaulted Martha on August 11, this year, at James Town in Accra.
In the said event, he also “intentionally and unlawfully caused damage to a Nokia phone valued GH¢40.00” belonging to the woman.
In March this year, the cruiserweight champion was also arrested and detained for assaulting four ladies after a confrontation.
