39 Students Get Aid From Finatrade

Thirty-nine students have received bursaries from Finatrade Foundation in support of their education for the first semester of the 2014-2015 academic year.

A total of GH¢15,600 was released to beneficiaries under the foundation’s scholarship scheme.

In a statement, Mr. John Awuni, the Executive Secretary of the Finatrade Foundation, said the release of the funds was to enable the scholars have the free mind to study throughout the semester.

Mr. Awuni advised the students to concentrate on their studies and maintain high academic and disciplinary standards.

The Finatrade Foundation, which is the Corporate Social Responsibility wing of the Finatrade group of companies, has since its establishment in 2003, so far sponsored over 200 students to complete their undergraduate studies in the Faculty of Agriculture in the University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University of Cape-Coast and the University For Development Studies.

Over the period, over 150 students have graduated with first class honours degree and has also sponsored 8 students who are pursing agric related masters programmes.
