3 pharmaceutical coys support Kaneshie Polyclinic

Three manufacturing pharmaceutical companies last Saturday donated assorted pharmaceutical items to the Kaneshie Polyclinic in Accra.

The companies, Dannex, Ayrton and Starwin pharmaceticals presented blood tonic, cough mixtures and painkillers to the polyclinic after a clean up exercise at the premises of the health facility.

They also fumigated and painted the Out Patient Department (OPD) and Antenatal unit, to encourage effective health delivery.

Mr Kwesi Yirenkyi , Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, who spoke on behalf of the pharmaceutical companies, said Kaneshie Polyclinic was a 24- hour public health facility, which received about 500 patients daily, excluding pregnant women.

“We hope that this initiative worth GH₵ 20,000 will enable the hospital to save more lives and support the Kaneshie community,” he said.

Mr Yirenkyi explained that the three companies, who were in the process of coming together to form one giant local manufacturing company, had introduced many impactful healthcare initiatives to various communities across the country.

Madam Winifred Lamptey , head of Pharmacy, Kaneshie Polyclinic, who received the items on behalf of the facility, expressed her gratitude to the three companies for their donation.

She appealed to the public, individual and organisations to emulate the example of the companies.
