Three persons have been arrested for their involvement in the alleged murder of the Operations Manager of Ecobank Ghana, during a robbery attack on him at Kasoa last year.
They are Christopher Afreh, 30, alias Indomi or Shadow, Abdulai Gariba, 33, alias Rebel Leader and Wisdom Adokpo, 19 alias Moro. One other accomplice, identified as Kojo, alias Hitler is currently on the run and being sought for by the police.
The suspects were said to have attacked and killed Seth Kweku Akyea on August 20, 2015 at his residence.
Briefing journalists, the Kasoa Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police Mr. Samuel Kwaku Alordey said the police had been following the suspects since last year and upon police intelligence, they have been arrested.
He said Wisdom was serving a three year jail term for robbery in another case.
According to him, Afreh and Abdulai were arrest on June 1 and 23 respectively at Kasoa.
The Police Commander said Mr. Akyea, was shot in the neck and killed by the suspects on August 20, 2015 in his house at Kasoa New Market.
According to the police, the deceased, his fiancée and their one-and-half-year-old child arrived at the gate of their house at around 9:15pm.
He explained that Mr. Akyea got down from the car to open the gate to the house, when the suspects approached him at the compound of the house and demanded for his car keys.
He said that Mr. Akyea initially refused to hand over the key to the robbers, resulting in a struggle.
According to the police the robbers succeeded in moving Mr. Akyea from the driving seat to the passenger side and shot him.
