TWO people who allegedly stole goats were, at dawn on Wednesday, arrested by a police patrol team after a hot chase for about an hour.
The suspects, Razak Asiedu and Nii Out and another man who escaped, allegedly kept 27 goats in the booth of a Toyota salon vehicle with registration number GT6140R.
Briefing The Ghanaian Times, the Prampram Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Dodzi Godact Hlodzi, said at about 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police personnel at the Water Works Police Snap check-point in Prampram signaled the suspects to stop but they sped off in their vehicle.
He said messages were sent to the various Police stations in the Tema region, and when the suspects reached an area around the Gamelin filling station at Dawhenya, the police opened fire and deflated the tyre of the vehicle of the suspects and arrested them.
