The duo will replace former NCC chairman Alhaji Akanbi and former board member in charge of sponsorship, Apiigi Afenu on the board after resigning early this year.

Mr. Barimah-Atuahene, a former management member of Hearts, brings on board his vast experience on supporters’ issues having served in various capacities on the NCC.

For Mr. Esso, he comes in with over 18 years’ working experience in auditing, accounting, taxation and investment banking.

Board Chairman and majority shareholder of the club, Torgbe Afede XIV who moved for their inclusion on the board, charged both to bring their experience to bear and help in the forward match of the club.

He particularly called on the supporter’s representative Mr. Barimah-Atuahene to educate the fans on the true situation of the club and not to follow detractors by pouring invectives on board members.

The meeting also approved a resolution to amend the club’s regulations to increase the maximum number of directors from its current 11 to 13.
