The Appointments Committee of Parliament will resume sitting tomorrow as 10 regional ministers-designate appear before it this week for their vetting.
Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, Western Regional Minister-designate, Mr. Simon Osei Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister nominee, Mr. Eric Kwakye Darfour, Eastern Regional Minister-designate and Mr. Ishmael Ashitey, Greater Accra Regional Minister-designate will face the Committee tomorrow.
On Wednesday, Dr. Archibald Letsa, Mr. Alhassan Suleiman, and Rockson Bukari, regional ministers-designate for Volta, Upper West and Upper East respectively are scheduled to appear before the committee.
Brong Ahafo Regional Minister-designate, Mr. Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh, Central Regional Minister-designate, Mr. Kwamena Duncan and Salifu Sa-eed, Northern Regional nominee are due to face the Committee on Thursday.
This week’s exercise follows the vetting and approval of 36 ministers by the Committee over the last three weeks who have subsequently been sworn into office by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The Committee will commence with the second phase of its vetting when yet to be appointed deputy minister appear before it somewhere next week.
